The role of calcium and vitamins in the prevention of osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is one of the most common bone diseases and, since there is no cure, prevention is considered particularly important in its management. Adequate intake of calcium, but also of vitamins D and K2, which increase its absorption during childhood and adolescence, is necessary to achieve the best possible development and calcification of the skeleton and to prevent the occurrence of osteoporosis in later adulthood**.

The relationship between bone and cardiovascular health

Osteocalcin is a protein that binds calcium and deposits it in bones. Its activation is done by vitamin K2. In the case of vitamin K2 deficiency, calcium circulates in the blood and is deposited on the walls of blood vessels, leading to arterial calcification, thereby increasing the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis. An important inhibitor of arterial calcification is matrix gla protein (MGP). Like osteocalcin, this protein needs vitamin K2 to be activated.

SHIPMENT TO GREECE

For orders over 39,00 € up to 7 kilos, shipment is FREE. Product delivery in your area made by a courier company (courier) in about 1-3 working days. For some remote areas delivery time can reach 3-5 working days. For orders of less than 39,00 € shipping costs are only 2.00 euros. If the payment method is cash on delivery, there is a surcharge of 1,80€.

For orders that weight more than 7 kilograms (volumetric or actual weight) and regardless of their price, there are volumetric costs that are calculated automatically upon order's completion.

Shipment to Cyprus made within 1-3 working days with partner courier company and paid by: VISA or Paypal.

The orders abroad are shiped with DHL courier and paid by: VISA or Paypal.
Shipment cost depends on the weight and the volume of the order and it is automatically calculated by the system.
Products that contain alcohol or products that are sprays under pressure, can't be shipped abroad.

Shipments to EU countries and United Kingdom are delivered within 1-3 business days by DHL Express.

Shipments to Russia are delivered in 12-17 days with a value limit of 500 €.
Shipments to Ukraine are delivered in 5-10 days with a value limit of 100 €
Due to the conditions, shipments to Ukraine are significantly delayed during this period
Shipments to Georgia are delivered in 3-7 days with a value limit of 200 €
Shipments to Uzbekistan are delivered in 10-15 days with a value limit of 500 €
Shipments to Kazakhstan are delivered in 14-30 days with a value limit of 500 €

For shipments to United Kingdom, Switzerland, USA, UAE, Qatar and all non-EU countries, there is a need for customs clearance of the parcel.
All costs of the customs clearance, if any, are borne by the recipient of the parcel.

Returns policy - For shipments to Greece

In an effort to meet our customers' expectations in the products they choose from Boxpharmacy.gr offer the possibility of a return to all products for exchange or full refund within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery of products based on documents receipt, provided that they adhere to the following terms.
