The ubiquinol is the reduced (active) form of coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone). The role of coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) in cell health and cellular energy production was the subject of much research area in recent decades. In 1978 the British Peter Mitchell was awarded Nobel for his research on the role of Q10 on energy mechanisms at the cellular level. To Coenzyme Q10 is found in all cells of the body and specifically in the membranes of cytoplasmic organelles (endoplasmic reticulum, ribosomes, corpuscles of Golgi, lysosomes, cytoskeleton and mitochondria).

The amount of coenzyme Q10 produced naturally in the body decreases with increasing age and with the use of various drugs (such as statins) .The largest amount of coenzyme found in the mitochondria, and plays a key role in energy production through oxidative phosphorylation. The final result of oxidative phosphorylation is the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) which is the energy coin cell (used to cover energy needs of the cell).

More particularly the ubiquinone is an integral component of the electron transport chain during oxidative phosphorylation. The active form of coenzyme Q10 as a result of receiving two electrons (reduction) is the ubiquinol (= reduced form of ubiquinone). Subsequently the ubiquinol transports electrons (electron donating) contributing to the addition of a phosphate group to ADP, trepontas in the ATP. Besides the important role of ubiquinol in cellular energy production, the ability to donate electrons and is oxidized to ubiquinone, makes it one of the most important antioxidants in the body.

In recent years the literature found some studies indicating more rapid absorption and bioavailability of ubiquinol, compared with ubiquinone. However, it is too early to say with certainty that increasing age is accompanied by impairing the ability of the body to allows the ubiquinone to ubiquinol.

Shipments to EU countries and United Kingdom are delivered within 1-3 business days by DHL Express.

Shipments to Russia are delivered in 12-17 days with a value limit of 500 €.

Shipments to Georgia are delivered in 3-7 days with a value limit of 200 €
