About Coenzyme Q10 !

Coenzyme Q10 is an essential component of cellular energy formation and a very effective antioxidant.
Coenzyme Q10 is a naturally occurring fat-soluble compound present in each and every living cell; due to its ubiquitous occurrence in nature it is also called Ubiquinone. It is essential for the functioning of an organism.
The predominant form in humans and most animals is Coenzyme Q10, containing 10 isoprenoid units attached to the quinone moiety. It is now well established that Q10 is an essential component of the mitochondrial energy metabolism (Nobel Prize). Coenzyme Q10 is responsible for energy conversion from carbohydrates and fatty acids into high-energy adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which plays an integral role in supplying energy to chemical reactions in the body and therefore driving cellular machinery and synthesis.

Q10 as an antioxidant

Q10 has been known to be a very effective antioxidant for over 40 years, protecting against lipid peroxidation, DNA and protein oxidation and being capable of functioning synergistically with other antioxidants.
A key advantage of Q10 lies in its presence in the mitochondria, the main source of free radicals. For this reason, it can be more effective than other antioxidants which are more evenly distributed throughout a cell.

Sources and deficiency

The human body biosynthesizes Q10, but its endogenous tissue levels decrease progressively after the age of 21. A deficiency has also been observed in various medical conditions, in people with inappropriate nutrition and in smokers. Besides biosynthesis, small amounts of Q10 are supplied to the organism by various foods (3-5 mg/day), mostly from meat and fish. Such an intake is clearly not enough to compensate for age-connected decline. Therefore, daily supplementation of Q10 is recommended.
If an adult person wanted to compensate the lack of coenzyme Q10 which decreases due to aging and other risk factors (smoking, stress, statins, etc), one would have to ingest at least half a kilo of sardines, 1 kilo of fat meat or 15 litres of fresh wholefat milk, which is in absolute contradiction to nutritional requirements and dietary recomendations.

Capsules are made on cellulose base and therefore (unlike most gelatine capsules) suitable also for vegetarians. SHIPMENT TO GREECE

For orders over 39,00 € up to 7 kilos, shipment is FREE. Product delivery in your area made by a courier company (courier) in about 1-3 working days. For some remote areas delivery time can reach 3-5 working days. For orders of less than 39,00 € shipping costs are only 2.00 euros. If the payment method is cash on delivery, there is a surcharge of 1,80€.

For orders that weight more than 7 kilograms (volumetric or actual weight) and regardless of their price, there are volumetric costs that are calculated automatically upon order's completion.

Shipments to EU countries and United Kingdom are delivered within 1-3 business days by DHL Express.

Shipments to Russia are delivered in 12-17 days with a value limit of 500 €.

Due to the conditions, shipments to Ukraine are significantly delayed during this period
Shipments to Georgia are delivered in 3-7 days with a value limit of 200 €

For shipments to United Kingdom, Switzerland, USA, UAE, Qatar and all non-EU countries, there is a need for customs clearance of the parcel.

Returns policy - For shipments to Greece

In an effort to meet our customers' expectations in the products they choose from Boxpharmacy.gr offer the possibility of a return to all products for exchange or full refund within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery of products based on documents receipt, provided that they adhere to the following terms.

If there is a mistake of our company, the return is accepted if you notify us within no more than 5 working days. We refund the money corresponding to the value of the order and the shipping costs.
